Death Benefits

Each of our active and retired lifetime members are covered under a death benefit policy. Social members who are killed in the line of duty are also covered by this policy. Click here for details or call the Springfield Office at (217) 523-5141 x206 for further information.

Hobart "Curley" Rogers Scholarship Fund

Children of our active, social and retired lifetime members are welcome to apply for the college scholarship that was established in 1995. The scholarship is $1,000.00 for 4 consectuive school years if the student maintains the minimum required credit hours and GPA. For more information and an application, please click here.

Youth Grants

Each of our Units is encouraged to request a Youth Grant to help them reach the youth in their local community. The local units can request up to $1,000.00 each year. In the past some of our Units have used the grants to help support little league teams, Shop with a Cop Programs, Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets, and a giveaway of flashlights for safe trick-or-treating. Will Preparation

The PBPA's attorney will draft a simple will for our members and their spouses for the small fee of $50.00 per will. To get started just complete this questionnaire and send it to Julie at the Springfield Office.

Legal Defense Fund

PBPA members in good standing can also apply for the Legal Defense Fund which is a pre-paid, pre-planned legal service plan coordinated by the PBLC.

NAPO

Each of our members - through their membership in the PBPA of IL - are also members of the National Association of Police Organizations. More information is available on their website at www.napo.org.
